Richard A. Myers, Attorney
Richard Myers is a 1988 graduate of Cleveland Marshall College of Law and is an experienced trial attorney who has served as lead counsel in dozens of criminal and civil jury trials and over hundreds of hearings in numerous counties in Ohio. He also was an acting magistrate with the Medina Municipal Court from 1994-2000. With the founding of Hehr & Myers Co., L.P.A. in 2001, his focus changed from litigation to proactive Estate, Medicaid and VA planning. An experienced lead attorney in Medicaid Asset Preservation and an Elderlaw Advisor, Mr. Myers conducts workshops and works directly with several senior care providers and fraternal organizations assisting families in the establishment of an estate plan that will maximize the protection of acquired wealth and maintaining the highest quality of life in their retirement. In 2011, he further refined his proactive focus on Elderlaw with the creation of Richard A. Myers, Jr. & Associates, LLC. He is a member of the WealthCounsel, LLC, ElderCounsel, LLC, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Ohio State Bar Association (Estate Planning Committee) and several local bar associations.
Rick has been married to his best friend, Kris for 27 years and has three children, Lauren, Christian and David. He serves as a Pastoral Assistant and the Chairman of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. He served on the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve from 2004 to 2010. He also coaches the sports of sailing and soccer.
Jacob L. Davidson, Attorney
Graduating from The Ohio State University, Jake then pursued his law degree in the beautiful Appalachia Mountains at Appalachian School of Law. While attending law school, he worked for Judge Wallar in Hocking County Probate/Juvenile Court and the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy.
Upon graduation and passing the Ohio State Bar in 2015, Jake opened his own solo practice in Olmsted Township. While representing his hometown’s residents, he was presented with the opportunity to join forces with Richard Myers, a nationally recognized top elder law attorney. Jake now works out of Olmsted Township and Independence, serving his clients through the use of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Asset Protection, and Medicaid. Jake is a member of The Ohio State Bar Association, Elder and Special Needs Law, and Speakers Bureau. He is also an accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans’ benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
